WELDING AND FABRICATION
WE-01 • Classes begin: Oct 4 (End date: Nov 22)
42 Hours • 14 Sessions • Mon & Wed: 6:00-9:00
WE-02 • Classes begin: Oct 5 (End date: Nov 30)
42 Hours • 14 Sessions • Tue & Thu: 6:00-9:00

This course is intended for introduction into the world of welding for the hobbyist or enthusiast, and will introduce you to the basic skills (and safety) of all welding and fabrication processes (Stick, MIG, TIG, Torch, and Plasma) as well as a variety of hand and power tools for sheet metal and basic fabrication. All safety equipment will be provided. NO TESTS, NO HOMEWORK, JUST WELDING!! Enrollment is limited to 10 students.

Room: Metal Tech Shop • Instructors: Richard LeBlanc & Louis V. Garneau, Jr.

Tuition: $299 (includes a $50 material fee)

Rick has 35 years experience in all types of welding, and fabricating process. Rick has been teaching this class since 2003, and is presently a welder for Parkinsons Technologies Inc.

Lou is a former Marine who has been welding for 35 years and was the welding leadman and instructor for Bird Machine Co. Lou has been teaching this class since 2000 and is currently an Industrial Welding Instructor at Norfolk State Prison.

Jerry McCarthy (assistant to the instructors) is a graduate of Keefe Tech’s welding program. He has been teaching alongside Rick and Lou since 2005. Jerry is currently an Engineering Technician for the Natick Army Labs.
