The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island TR-03 • Saturday • Oct 16 • 6:00am to 10:30pm • $79 Join us on our trip to
the place where many of our forefathers first set foot in the United
States. In the early 1900’s, the Statue of Liberty was the first sight
of America for European immigrants and a welcoming symbol of American
freedom. Ellis Island, known as the Island of Hope, Island of Tears, was
their first step into this country. We will experience views of New York
City and its harbor during our ferry ride to the museums. Ellis Island
is one of the most visited museums in New York City and chronicles the
experiences of the immigrants during their voyage to America. For those
wishing to do so, there will be time to tour the museum at the Statue of
Liberty and explore the Battery Park area of Manhattan. We’ll leave
Keefe Tech at 6:00am and return by 10:30pm. The bus will depart from the
Winter Street end of the building. There is a new lighted parking lot
behind the greenhouse. Please use this lot for all trips. The trip will
be held rain or shine.
