TRADE PREPARATION
EELECTRIC CODE AND THEORY - JOURNEYMAN'S LICENSE
TP-01 • Classes begin: Mar 5 (End date: Jun 4) • 75 Hours (25 Sessions) • Wed &
Thu 6:00-9:00
Keefe Tech offers the 600 hour Electric Code and Theory test preparation
class - consisting of 8 semester courses of 75 hours each. We will be covering
MEC Chapter 3 “Wiring Methods and Motor Materials Theory”, transformers, motors
and motor control theory. The class will also cover MEC articles 430 and 450.
The course work may be completed in 4 school years. (If you began as an
electrical apprentice before July 31, 2001 - you are "grandfathered" - and need
only complete 300 hours.) To enroll for the test preparation class, you need
to be working as an apprentice electrician. This is not a course where you learn
how to be an electrician.

Edward Clark is a licensed Master Electrician & a Massachusetts Certified
Instructor with over 36 years of residential, industrial and commercial
experience and ten years of classroom training experience.
PLUMBING CODE AND THEORY
TP-02 • Classes begin: Mar 3 (End date: May 20) • 75 Hours (22 Sessions) • Mon &
Tue: 5:30-9:00
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires all apprentice plumbers to obtain
500 hours of classroom time involving code, science theory and math. The
Commonwealth also mandates 100 hours of classroom for journeyman plumbers
seeking their Masters License. This course will effectively cover that
information necessary in semester classes of 75 hours. Two courses are offered a
year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

Rebecca St. Armand, a master plumber, has been employed for the past 11
years with Roto-Rooter. Rebecca is their regional trainer and is also an OSHA
certified trainer. Rebecca brings with her a wealth of plumbing experience and
training ability.
