CONVERSATIONAL FRENCH: INTRODUCTION
LA-01 • Classes begin: Mar 10 (End date: May 12) • 27 Hours (9 Sessions) • Mon: 6:30-9:30
This introductory course will allow the student to say and understand common expressions useful for travel and basic conversations in a French-speaking country. By the end of the course, students will be able to introduce themselves and their family members, talk about themselves, ask for directions, reserve a hotel room, and much more. A workbook is included in the tuition.

Adele C. Williams received her B.A. in French from Mount Holyoke College and her M.A. in French from Simmons College. She lived abroad in Paris, France for one year and has visited Montreal and Quebec City, Canada.

CONVERSATIONAL ITALIAN: INTRODUCTION
LA-02 • Classes begin: Mar 5 (End date: May 7) • 27 Hours (9 Sessions) • Wed: 6:30-9:30
This course is for those who would like to begin studying Italian and also for those who would like to improve their fluency. Topics will include everyday situations such as asking for directions, meeting people or going out to eat. We will emphasize conversation and expressing our thoughts in Italian. A textbook is included in the tuition.

Loredana was born in Italy and moved to the USA in 1985. She studied languages and has been teaching Italian since 1987. She unifies basic knowledge of the language with conversations.

CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH: INTRODUCTION

LA-03 • Classes begin: Mar 11 (End date: May 13) • 27 Hours (9 Sessions) • Tue: 6:30-9:30
Students will learn the basics of the Spanish language, now the second language in the United States. Beginners will be introduced to basic speech patterns and vocabulary, as well as simple grammar and idioms. The ability to communicate is developed through question and answer drills, written exercises, and dialogs. Emphasis is placed on correct pronunciation and intonation. A workbook is included in the tuition.

MaryLee Mullin-Palencia has a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Framingham State College and also has certification in both Spanish and English as a Second Language from the state of Massachusetts. She has taught Spanish, French and English for 12 years in Florida and Massachusetts.
