After receiving her B.A. in Fine Arts from Brandeis University, she continued her studies at the Boston School of Fashion Design and the Worcester Center for Crafts. Once you’ve strung a piece of jewelry, what’s the best way to finish it? In this class you’ll learn various finishing techniques including when and how to use wire protectors, loop crimps, cones, cord endcaps, clamshell bead tips, extenders, crimp covers and memory wire endcaps. You’ll leave with a sampler containing a variety of finishes that you can refer to when working on future projects.

HAND-KNOTTING PEARLS |

NEW CLASS! Ever wanted to learn how to re-string or hand knot a strand of pearls but thought the technique would take years to master? You wouldn’t be alone. In actuality, hand knotting pearls is very EASY! This workshop will focus on two techniques used by professionals for applying clasps, the french wire and clamshell bead tip techniques. NEW CLASS! The art of fashioning jump rings into chains goes back to the times of the Vikings. Today, the same techniques are used to make beautiful fine jewelry pieces. In this introductory class you will learn about the materials/tools needed to create two basic chain maille weaves, the basic 3-in-1 with bead accents and the basic 3-in-3.
