DRAFTING
This 36 hour course is designed to introduce students to AutoCAD 2006. This is a fast paced class structured for a hands-on approach with step-by-step instructions. Individual workstations are provided for each student in a computer lab environment, with a projector attached to the instructor’s computer. Each class will consist of a lecture or example followed by lab time to practice exercises and complete projects. Basic computer skills are required (be familiar with how to open and save documents). Drafting experience is helpful but not required. This class is designed for someone with little to no previous CAD experience. We will go over basic drawing and modifying commands, blocks, xrefs, and as many additional commands as time allows! Room: 321 • Kyla Shuttleworth • Tuition: $259 Kyla currently works as a CAD designer for a Structural Engineer. She has 6 years of professional AutoCAD experience working as CAD designer since graduating with a BS in Architectural Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2002. She has worked for architects, a contractor, the government, and engineers, learning many different drawing techniques. |
